Apple announced the opening of its new store in the mall MixC Hefei in Hefei, China, for January 18 at 10 a.m. local time. To mark the occasion, the Cupertino company has created original wallpapers. It is also preparing to launch promotions in the country.

To celebrate the official opening of this Apple Store, the company shared a unique wallpaper and custom Apple Watch face (link to open from the iPhone paired to the Apple Watch), both decorated with an Apple “bonsai” logo specially designed for the occasion. Wallpapers are available for iPhone, iPad and Mac users. To collect them, you must go with the correct device to the store page (see above). Otherwise, here they are, just for you:

You can right-click to save them, or, on the iSoft app, tap and then use the button to save the image to your photos.

Special promotions

As the Chinese New Year approaches, Apple is also holding a promotional event in China from January 4 to 7. Like last year, Chinese customers will find significant discounts on certain Apple products, including iPhones (including the iPhone 16 range), Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, AirPods and Apple Pencil, with discounts going up to 800 yuan (106 euros). These discounts aim to strengthen Apple’s position in the market amid increasing competition. Moreover, they are conditional on the use of specific payment methods such as WeChat Pay or Alipay, a feat of the Chinese regime which has succeeded in ousting Apple Pay from the equation.

Promotions in Japan

Additionally, remember that Apple’s annual New Year promotion in Japan is still ongoing, allowing customers to enjoy savings or receive a special AirTag with certain purchases.
