Since the release of the Apple Vision Pro, Apple has posted several “Apple Immersive Video” short films online in its Apple TV application. This allows you to immerse yourself in virtual reality in spectacular environments and at the same time show what the spatial computer is capable of on very high definition VR content. As we talked about a few months ago, Apple will soon release a short film called “Submerged”, it will be an action short that will take Vision Pro users on a spectacular adventure.
The trailer for Submerged
When we talk about trailers in Apple news, it is generally for new series available in the Apple TV+ catalog, however this time, it is the trailer for an Apple Immersive Video for Vision Pro. The Cupertino company has published on its YouTube account the first images of “Submerged”, a short film which will aim to transport visionOS users to the Second World War in a submarine.
Apple specified last July that this new and exclusive short film is written and directed by Edward Berger, Oscar winner. Apple explained that Submerged showcases the unique storytelling capabilities that are only possible with Apple Immersive Video on Apple Vision Pro. In other words, it’s a kind of experience that you can’t have optimally with a Meta Quest headset.
At the moment, little is known about Submerged, however, we do know that the story will follow a group of sailors on a special operation in a submarine. They will have to survive a deadly torpedo attack from an enemy submarine that is determined to destroy them, no matter how long it takes.
This new immersive 3D content will be available to Apple Vision Pro users in France from Thursday October 10, American, English, German, Japanese, Canadian users… will also have access to the short film from Thursday. Get ready for an incredible experience!
