For some, the year 2025 is starting with a bang, like the people of Bordeaux from Heavn, a Christian dating app which has managed to find a large audience in French-speaking Europe. In just four years, Heavn has brought together more than 100,000 members sharing the same desire: to find love in an authentic setting around Christian values. In addition to the number of users, the app also boasts of having facilitated more than 400 weddings. The perfect opportunity to raise funds.
A first fundraiser
These more than encouraging figures will soon be consolidated by a first fundraising. The team, made up of 9 enthusiasts, including the three co-founders Guiral, Pierre and Guillaume, aims to raise 1 million euros, thanks to its members (via the site’s donation page) and the support of business angels.
With its funds, the app aims to reach Christians in other countries, but also to develop its “media of Love”, a new weekly meeting made up of podcasts, face cam interviews, articles, advice, surveys, Sidewalk microphones, events, love news… The idea is to help the community better understand male-female relationships. The target
It is developing internationally, always around religion and Christian culture. Indeed, Heavn is not limited to Catholic, Protestant, evangelical and Orthodox singles, it also attracts people of Christian culture, all aged 18 and over, united by a common conviction: the importance of marriage.
Strangely, there was no community application for Christians, unlike Muslims (Mektoub) or to the Jews (JSwipe) notably.
How does it work?
The secret of Heaven’s success (which can be translated as Paradise in French)? An intelligent algorithm that offers three carefully selected profiles every day, free of charge, thus promoting “slow dating” where quality takes precedence over quantity. Far from a Tinder for example.
By opening the application each day, three new profiles await you. If you’re attracted to one of them, show your interest by reacting to something on their profile, maybe even with a little personal message. If the interest is mutual, it is a “match”, opening the door to dialogue. Then, everything will depend on the two people, with Heavn’s work logically stopping there.
In terms of negative points, if the interface could be more advanced, it is above all the lack of geolocation which denotes 2025. But the developers assure us, this functionality is included on the application’s roadmap.
Summary of the application’s qualities:
- Slow Dating : Far from the frenzy of swiping, take your time.
- Based on personality : Answer three personal questions so that your profile shines with its singularity.
- Religious sensitivity : Your relationship with the Faith is unique, and Heavn respects it.
- Free : Love shouldn’t cost a lot, so Heavn is completely free.
- Safety and Respect : Discussion only begins if both parties agree, ensuring a caring environment.
- Made in France : Heavn is an app born and developed in France.
