This collaboration marks an important step in Apple’s strategy to attract gamers to its platform. These new keyboards and mice are the first kid’s peripherals to be officially released on the Mac.

Exclusive peripherals in Apple colors

Corsair is launching two new products specially adapted to the Apple ecosystem: the K65 Plus Wireless keyboard and the M75 Wireless mouse. These peripherals are offered in two exclusive colors which harmonize perfectly with the latest iMacs in particular:

  • Glacier Blue (Apple Store Exclusive)
  • Frost (white)

The K65 Plus Wireless keyboard, priced at $179.95, includes several specific features for Mac:

  • Adapted key layout with Command and Option keys
  • Pre-lubricated MLX Red v2 mechanical switches
  • Impressive battery life of up to 266 hours
  • Compatibility with macOS and iPadOS via Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz with USB dongle (quite strange when you know that Apple has switched to all USB-C)

A gaming mouse designed for everyone

The M75 Wireless mouse, sold at $129.95, is distinguished by:

  • An ambidextrous design usable by both right-handed and left-handed people
  • A featherweight of 89 grams
  • A 26,000 DPI Marksman optical sensor
  • Customizable RGB lighting via iCue software

Both devices are configurable via iCue software, now available on macOS, allowing extensive customization of keys and lighting. This initiative represents a significant step forward in Apple’s commitment to the Mac gaming community, a sector long neglected by the Apple brand.

This collaboration with Corsair, a major player in gaming, shows that Apple takes seriously the potential of gaming on its platform, particularly since the introduction of its Apple Silicon chips which have considerably improved the gaming performance of Macs.

The products are not yet available in France and Europe but should be available very soon if they are successful in the United States. The quantities manufactured being limited, in particular because of the exclusive QWERTY layout for the moment, it is a safe bet that this is a test for Apple and Corsair and that the distribution could be expanded in the near future . In the meantime, you can find the keyboard and mouse on theAmerican Apple Store.
