French football is becoming more accessible than ever with DAZN which is offering an exceptional offer for the second part of the 2024-2025 season. The sports streaming platform, which holds the broadcast rights to Ligue 1, is making a significant commercial gesture which sounds like a last chance offer to attract new subscribers.
An unprecedented offer for Ligue 1
DAZN is launching its “Mid-Season Pass” at €69, a single price giving access to all the remaining matches of the season until May 18, 2025. This offer represents a monthly cost of only €13.80, i.e. the lowest price ever offered by the platform since it held the rights to Ligue 1.
For statistics fans, that works out to around 42 cents per game, with 162 games still to go. The offer is available from January 3 to February 3, 2025, with an important point to note: automatic renewal at €19.99 per month from August 2025, unless canceled with 30 days’ notice. We advise you to cancel immediately after subscribing, you will keep your subscription without renewal.
An extensive sports catalog
The Mid-Season Pass is not limited to French football. Subscribers will also have access to:
- The Betclic ELITE (French basketball championship)
- UEFA Women’s Champions League
- The Jupiler League (Belgian championship)
- PFL MMA fights
- Glory kickboxing events
This DAZN strategy, which is reminiscent of that of the NBA League Pass with its prices adapted according to the progress of the season, demonstrates a desire to adapt to consumer expectations. Initially launched at €40 per month, the service was considered too expensive compared to its predecessor Amazon Prime Video which offered a subscription at €12.99. This new offer could well redistribute the cards in the streaming sports rights market.
