After several months of revisions, Gemini Live now speaks six different languages including French. Google’s futuristic voice AI is embedded in the Android application to chat with you like a human. It still remains missing on iOS as the app is missing from the App Store.
Gemini Live speaks French
Exclusive to English initially, Gemini Live is now available in five other languages including French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Hindi. Google’s generative AI voice assistant finally speaks naturally in the language of Molière.
Gemini Live offers 10 different voices including five male and five female. Like her competitors, she aims to converse in the most human way possible when chatting with her. In the coming months, voice AI will be able to decipher and understand files, documents and photos. Only voice chat is available at the moment.
Gemini Live is a free service that is activated via a new small icon on the Android application interface. Unfortunately, the Gemini app is still not available on iOS and therefore on iPhone. The web version doesn’t have access to it either at the moment.
Here is a new major competitor to ChatGPT and its future voice assistant which amazed us a few months ago during a real-time demonstration by OpenAI. It is expected by the end of 2024.
