Despite being a fan of the Apple ecosystem and all its products, the iPad It was that device that I didn’t see clearly, a mix between a Mac and an iPhone with no real use, which, together with the price, made me always discard it from my possible purchases, until they left me one, and I couldn’t resist getting it .
It is possible that many people are in my situation, and believe that an iPad is not useful for much, at least if you already have a Mac and an iPhone, since these will be more comfortable in most cases, and unless you are a designer and use it together with your Pencil, you will barely end up using it. Well, today I am going to tell you what do I use it forand see if this convinces you a little more.
What do I use my iPad for?
Among the points that I am going to comment on, there will be many people who see them as useless, and have other more interesting ones, however, this is a personal opinion, and the reason why I cannot live without an iPad today:
- Larger screen: Although it is something obvious, once you get used to watching Netflix or any other app on the iPad lying in bed, the iPhone becomes small, and the experience of being able to watch a series or movie in a larger size and with A comfort and lightness that the Mac does not offer is wonderful. I don’t see myself with the iPhone or Mac watching something in bed again, it’s much more uncomfortable.
- Infinite battery: An iPad without a data connection or mobile coverage, as well as its use to watch movies, for example, makes the battery almost infinite, and you do not have to depend on a charger to finish watching that series that you have halfway through, which It is not only comfortable in bed, but when traveling on public transport, or when you stay at a friend’s house.
- Use as a second screen: Although it may not be necessary for many, for those of us who work with a computer, having an iPad, and its easy synchronization with the Mac to use it as a second monitor, is one of the best things that has happened to me, since it barely takes up any space. space, it is light, and I can carry it in the same case as the Mac, always managing to have two screens to work comfortably and much faster.
- Emergency device: The iPad, despite being the SIM-free version, serves as an emergency device to make FaceTime calls, or send a message to a contact, so if you break or lose your iPhone, apart from being able to communicate with your family to let them know, You will also have all the photos, files, and everything that iCloud has synchronized, including contacts, so you can call them, since you will know their number, and you will not have lost it with your phone.
These are some of the main points that make an iPad a device that I use every day and that I would have a hard time living without right now. It is true that I am not looking for a very expensive or very current one, and I will settle for a simpler one, but I need it. And you, what do you think of this product? I think there is a love-hate among Apple users.
