Thanks to its partnership with OpenAI, Microsoft was able to quickly deploy features based on generative artificial intelligence across its various products and services. The social network LinkedIn, which it bought in 2016, is not left out since it has already launched several features based on this technology, including features for recruiters. And this week, LinkedIn is getting a new product called Hiring Assistant which, thanks to the power of AI, will allow recruiters to avoid most repetitive tasks. The idea is that, thanks to this assistant, HR teams spend less time carrying out certain tasks, in order to focus on more important things, such as contacting candidates.
Avoid repetitive tasks
For example, to save time, a recruiter can post job descriptions, grades, and the job offer online, so that the AI can translate this information into qualifications, while building a list. of qualified candidates. And that’s not all, since the LinkedIn assistant will also be equipped, later, with a functionality that can automatically answer basic questions asked by candidates. In any case, LinkedIn thinks that its new solution could save a lot of time by automating certain tasks for recruiters. According to the platform, these are repetitive tasks which can sometimes result in a loss of 20 hours of work per week.
In any case, it is possible that one day, you will land a job thanks to AI, which will have highlighted your LinkedIn profile, taking into account the information given by the recruiter on the position to be filled. Additionally, LinkedIn highlights the fact that its technology makes decisions based on “skills” instead of relying on traditional criteria, such as the university the candidate attended or their previous employer.
An AI tested with a few companies, initially
But for now, Hiring Assistant is still only available to LinkedIn recruiters, and a handful of companies, including AMD, Canva and Siemens. However, this tool should be offered to more organizations before the end of 2025. On the other hand, Hiring Assistant is still only available in English. But LinkedIn says it will explore other languages as the tool develops.
