For once, Apple has added a long-requested feature. With iOS 18 (and iPadOS 18), the Photos app is able to loop a video. This means that when you preview a video in your library, it will automatically restart at the end for continuous playback, until you exit the video. Just like on some social networks.
Jailbreak fans get it, without having to upgrade to iOS 18, thanks to LoopVideos.
LoopVideos tweak preview
The new free tweak, called LoopVideosdeveloped by ETHN, brings this same functionality to the native Photos app on jailbroken devices, whether they are using a regular jailbreak or without root starting from iOS 14 and up to iOS 16.7.1 for now.
Without any options to configure, using LoopVideos is childish. Just open Photos and play a video. It will replay endlessly.
This is a good way to take advantage of the What’s new in iOS 18 without having to lose your jailbreak.
Install the tweak
To try the tweak LoopVideosyou can download it for free from ETHN’s personal repository via your favorite package manager. There is a version compatible with both types of jailbreak (Dopamine or Palera1n for example).
