The truth is that whatever the decision, it will be good, however, it may be that, due to particular needs, one choice is better than the other, even if you have not yet thought it through, that is why we are going to see everything in detail and our particular opinion on it.

The first thing we are going to see are the pros of each of the teams, to later really analyze which one would be more worth it, or at least which one we would go for, although this is something personal.

As we can see, the iMac is more expensive, but it will come with its screen and Apple keyboard and mouse, which adds up to a good amount of money, which if we want to purchase independently along with the Mac Mini, we could talk about a price very similar, which leads us to a clear decision, at least on our part.
If the price is going to be similar, and we are going to have less power… we stay with the Mac Minisince it allows us to pay much less for the equipment, and adapt it with what we want, whether it is the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard itself, or other different ones.
Furthermore, if we have a problem with the screen, we will need to fix it to be able to use the iMac, something that does not happen to us with the Mac Mini, because if we break it in one fell swoop, we will only have to connect it to another (even a TV) to perform a repair. copy our files or continue using the computer (also with the inches we want, not like the iMac which are default).
On the other hand, one of the advantages of the iMac was its size, being very compact and having everything in one on the desktop, however, after the release of the Mac Mini M4, with ridiculous dimensions, things change, and that is that We can adapt it to any space, as it fits practically in the palm of our hand. It has a size of 12 x 12 cm, that is, its length is less than that of a simple iPhone.
In summary, We do not see advantages to the iMacsince we can have exactly the same thing for a lower price and on top of that with the possibility of using the screen size we want, as well as the rest of the peripherals, not having to be left without a computer if the screen breaks, and on top of that with more power for a similar price, so our decision is clear, and except in specific cases, an iMac today is a worse choice.
