Are you in front of your TV and wandering around looking for a film to watch alone, with family or friends? No need to exhaust yourself, we’ve gone through the program to find 3 cool films to enjoy to end the week in style.
Pupille (France 2, 9:10 p.m.)
According to the synopsis proposed by Unifrance:
Théo was given up for adoption by his biological mother the day he was born. It’s a birth under X. The mother has two months to reconsider her decision… or not. The child welfare services and the adoption service are getting moving. Some must take care of the baby, carry him (in the full sense of the term) in this suspended time, this phase of uncertainty. The others must find the one who will become his adoptive mother. Her name is Alice and she has been fighting to have a child for ten years. Pupille is the story of the meeting between Alice, 41, and Théo, three months.
A very touching film which can also rely on an excellent cast: Sandrine Kiberlain, Gilles Lellouche, Elodie Bouchez, Olivia Côte, Clotilde Mollet, Miou-Miou, or even Jean-François Stévenin and Bruno Podalydès.
Titanic (TMC, 9:10 p.m.)
Is it still necessary to present this legendary James Cameron film? In Southampton in 1912, the largest liner in the world, deemed unsinkable, the Titanic is preparing to leave on its first voyage.
On board, many passengers, including Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet). Belonging to two completely different social classes, these two will end up falling in love on board. This is the beginning of a very beautiful story (although tragic) that we let you discover (or rediscover).
The name of the rose (6ter, 9:10 p.m.)
This very beautiful adaptation of the novel by Umberto Eco is signed Jean-Jacques Annaud. We are in 1327 in a Benedictine abbey where several monks disappear in turn without any explanation. Present on site, William of Baskerville, a Franciscan (Sean Connery) and his sidekick Adso von Melk (Christian Slater), launch their own investigations. This is the start of a very gripping adventure that we let you discover.
That’s all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, and in particular Without filter (Arte, 9 p.m.), The magic number of Christmas (NRJ 12, 9:10 p.m.), and Justice League (TFX, 9:05 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week’s gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
