The Palera1n team has finally announced in a message shared on X (ex Twitter), the update 2.0 of the jailbreak tool based on the hardware flaw checkm8. As a result, the jailbreak of iOS 18 is possible, but on only one device. It is in fact an iPad, the iPad 7, and therefore iPadOS 18. All other Apple mobile devices are not eligible, because the flaw in question was plugged after the iPhone X.
Added support for iOS 17.6 and tvOS 15
Besides iOS 18the new version adds support for iPadOS 17.6 and potentially higher versions on US tablets.
Additionally, the long-awaited support for tvOS 15 and later on Apple TVs vulnerable to checkm8 is finally available in the Palera1n tool. This means that one can jailbreak an Apple TV running tvOS 15, tvOS 16, tvOS 17, and tvOS 18.

Despite this good news, note that there are some caveats. For example, iPadOS 18 may be problematic in its jailbroken version, as the Settings app has been rewritten in Swift and is therefore incompatible with preferenceloader until it is updated. This means that preference panes for jailbreak tweaks will not load, but TweakSettings can be used as a workaround.
Likewise, tvOS 15 devices up to tvOS 18 do not require the creation of a fakeFS, which means that the jailbreak experience is similar to that of tvOS 14 and earlier. By the way, there is still no full package manager for tvOS. There is a partial version, shipped in the jailbreak.
Now that you know everything, you can go to the Project GitHub page to learn more and download the palera1n jailbreak tool. But before that, take the time to reread our Palera1n jailbreak tutorial, available since iOS 15 and updated very regularly.
