TCL has presented the renewal of its most ambitious mid-range to date: the P80 seriesmade up of three models—P80, P80 Pro and P80 Ultra—that share a common objective, offering large and bright screens without skyrocketing the price. What is interesting is not so much the list of specifications (quite predictable in this segment) as a technical detail that the brand has been pursuing for years: for the first time, its panels NXTPAPER They arrive mounted on technology AMOLED. Until now, TCL's NXTPAPER phones used IPS displays, so this jump is a real change, not just a marketing one.

P80 Ultra and P80 Pro: almost identical, except for one detail
This is where it is advisable to read the technical sheet calmly, because Ultra and Pro are practically the same phone. Both mount the processor MediaTek Dimensity 74008 GB of expandable physical RAM, up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and a battery of 5,800 mAh. Its screen is the same NXTPAPER AMOLED, with three display modes (normal, paper and Max Ink) and a dedicated physical key to switch between them.
The only real difference between one and the other is in the camera: the P80 Ultra add a 50 MP periscopic telephoto lens with 3x optical zoomsomething the Pro doesn't have. The rest of the photographic system – 50 MP main with OIS, 8 MP wide angle and 32 MP front – is identical in both.
