OnePlus has published the specifications of the Watch 4 on its global website without any official announcement. No event, no statement, just the specs there, waiting for someone to find them. A move that fits with the moment of the brand, which has been reducing its presence in several markets for months. The curious thing is that, after reading them all, the most basic question remains unanswered: price and release date, neither of them.

The most striking novelty on paper is Wear OS 6 —based on Android 16— with OxygenOS Watch 8, which is somewhat ironic considering that the Watch 2 and Watch 3 are still waiting for that same update, promised for this year. The Gemini integration as standard also adds. But that's where the surprises end.

Hardware that doesn't move

In the physical section, the Watch 4 repeats the Snapdragon W5 and the BES 2800 coprocessor, the same as the two previous generations. There is no jump to the Snapdragon Wear Elite, which in 2026 would be the minimum expected. The RAM remains at 2 GB and the storage at 32 GB. The titanium case measures 47.4 mm, and the LTPO OLED screen reaches 3,000 peak nits in sports mode – here there is a tangible improvement compared to previous versions. The 646 mAh battery promises three days of intense use and 16 in saving mode, figures that are still among the best in Wear OS.

Compared to the Watch 3, the physical changes are minor: a little less weight (43 g without strap), a little less thickness and the IP69 certificationwhich is added to IP68 and MIL-STD-810H. Two finishes available: Evergreen Titanium and Midnight Titanium. eSIM, none.

A watch without price or date

The OnePlus Watch 4 is a device that has what it takes

Without availability data, the Watch 4 exists halfway. The Watch 3 came out $349.99and although a moderate rise would be logical, reaching $399.99 in 2026 would not be a surprise. In Europe, the Oppo Watch X3 – sister model – is around 379 euros, which gives an indicative reference. The packaging already includes importer information for the UK, EU and Poland, so regional distribution seems assured from the start.

The Watch 4 is a contained revision of a product that already worked well. The software leap is real; the hardware, practically non-existent. For someone with a OnePlus Watch 3there is no clear argument to change. For those looking for a first smartwatch with good autonomy and solid finishes, it can continue to be an option, as long as the price does not spoil the equation.
