We weren’t necessarily expecting it, but Microsoft is unveiling its Virtual Agent Support, i.e. “an AI-powered feature designed to help Xbox players resolve their gaming issues more effectively.” The latter can quickly access the information available on the platform support.xbox.com to answer questions about the Xbox console and in-game support issues.
Towards an Xbox-style “SEGA Master”?
From now on, users will see this new Xbox chatbot on the “ Contact us » on support.xbox.com. For the player, simply log in with the same account registered with the Xbox Insider program, and they will then see a new option to ask this new virtual support agent a question.
It is possible to ask questions to the agent via text or voice. If the latter is unable to resolve the issue, then one can request to speak to a live support agent, provided of course that this is during normal Xbox Support business hours.
After each interaction with the Xbox virtual support agent, players are invited to provide feedback by clicking on the “ thumb up ” Or ” thumbs down » under each of the answers or directly by clicking on the button « Give your opinion » at the bottom of the page.
Currently, this chatbot will handle online support requests, but many sources indicate that this is actually part of a broader effort within the US company to soon introduce support functions.
