siri iconIn a video posted on social networks, the famous Céline Dion experienced a little moment that only Siri is capable of offering. Often described as “stupid”, Apple’s virtual assistant, which is due to take a leap forward with Apple Intelligence in 2025, did not understand the request to play “The Hymn to Love”, the song which we notably heard during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games last July.

A little humor

Celine Dion simply asked:

Hey Siri, play ‘The Hymn to Love’ by Céline Dion.

Despite a perfect English accent, the singer did not get the expected response, Siri instead offering her song “My Heart will go on” (the Titanic soundtrack!).

Never mind, the one who had to stop her daily concerts in Las Vegas due to a rare autoimmune disease, did not give up and tried a second time.

Hey Siri, can you play ‘The Hymn to Love’ by Celine Dion, please?

The Coué method did not work, the same causes producing the same effects. But the star has more than one trick up his sleeve. Celine Dion thought it would be a good idea to try asking with a French accent.

So, for her third try, she asked the question again in English, with a beautiful French accent. And then, magically, Siri understood and played the Hymn to Love.

Here is the video published on X by the singer:

If the singer has, once again, demonstrated her capacity for self-deprecation, Apple would probably have done without this publicity. We knew that Siri was not proficient in French, but he is not very good in English either. Let’s hope that the addition of Apple Intelligence in 2025 will finally give us a top-notch assistant.
