At the start of the 2021 school year, the Squid Game series simply shook Netflix. At the end of 2024, and after three years of waiting, fans will be able to discover the awaited aunt season 2. The American giant had promised a launch during the year 2024, and the promise will indeed be well kept, since season 2 of Squid Game will be available to watch from December 26.
A new Squid Game video game to celebrate the launch of season 2
And in order to properly ride the hype generated by this upcoming season 2, what could be better than launching… a video game? Indeed, simmered by Boss Fight Entertainment, this new mobile game called Squid Game: Unleashed allows players to face other participants online through various deadly events.

“With deadly challenges that will remind you of the “Squid Game” series and new games inspired by classic childhood activities, each round is a sinister return to childhood. Will you come out of this recreation alive?” indicates the American giant. And a small clarification which is important: No paid subscription is required, including a subscription to the Netflix service.
The objective could not be simpler, namely to survive the various trials which take the form of activities from our childhood, such as “1, 2, 3 Sun” or even the “obstacle course“. Netflix has already confirmed that the game will be available to everyone for a limited time only, without revealing more about it.
For the American giant, this is obviously a great marketing operation since not only does it aim to allow millions of users to test the “games” from Netflix, while offering a promotional campaign worthy of the name for the Squid Game series. Netflix remains confident about its future in the video game market, the group having notably launched the independent game Monument Valley 3 on December 10.
